However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we tested the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces like from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for about an hour and a half continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin, which removes a major source of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.

It was able to remove the majority of types of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area many times for an extensive clean. In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It did not do well in avoiding taller objects like cords or socks.
